I am indeed buoyant and cordial to welcome from the core of my heart in Bijeshwori Gyan Mandir Sainik Mahavidyalaya (BGMSM), Bijeshwori, Swoyambhu. This is profoundly, what I believe is an abode of whizz-kids where each individual; particularly girl children (daughters of both Army and Civil) are catered, cared and canalized fostering from successful academic ethos.

The Mahavidyalaya utterly believes on “All who have meditated on the art of governing mankind have been convinced that the fate of empires depends on the education of Daughters” as a Model Girls’ School and has tried to proffer the best available higher learning approaches and all-round opportunities to the students. My full unwavering commitment towards this Mahavidyalaya is to develop as a center of excellence.

Updating with techno-friendly world, and modifying pedagogical methods to suit contemporary national and global needs of 21st century students are milestone victory of this Mahavidyalaya. I am really thankful to our trained, dedicated and enthusiastic team of teachers and hard working administrative staff who bring every day a new day of caring individual children, their needs, challenges, and wholesome successes as they are an intricate combination of both strengths and areas for improvement. My fret to uphold multiple facets of the students, has now been a signpost for educating them holistically.

The Mahavidyalaya has time-honored her graduates truthfully to congregate into the international standard. Such endeavor has really been a landmark of proven quality through her past outstanding results to discharge them from the problem of brain-drain due to her distinctiveness because we believe “Education is a most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world” of Nelson Mandela.

Besides academics, BGMSM has equally displayed her excellence in extra-curricular activities to develop all round development of an individual. I get hold of a special interest in both (academic and co-curricular) as a part of learning and cordially dub our well wishers to run simultaneously as it is a modern temple of learning learned through diligence, devotion and dedication. My dream of Bijeshwori will be fulfilled only when the students get ample opportunities to learn from Bijeshwori band to choral program participating actively and rejoicing thoroughly. These accomplishments are certainly a testimonial to their worth and a matter of deep abiding pride.

Bijeshwori Gyan Mandir Sainik Mahavidyalaya (BGMSM) has been blossomed as higher secondary school by Nepal Army to upgrade the widen pace of the institution as model girls’ academy. It is entirely looked after by Nepal Army Welfare Fund (NAWF). To proffer the best available higher learning approaches and all-round opportunities to all the students, to aspire their personal hidden talents and to expand scholastic and co- scholastic abilities, the Mahavidyalaya, specifically concentrates, first and foremost, upon academics co-related and extra- curricular activities, highly emphasizing individual counselling , closely associated to course of studies and career guidelines for future prosperities. It is a holy place of whizz-kids where each individual is catered, cared and canalized effectively and efficiently for their successful life. To assimilate these norms and resolutions, to create its heightened and widened access to reach the summit of academic excellence, the foundation stone was laid down by Nepal Army Wives Association(NAWA) on 23rd Kartik, 2054B.S.(9th November,1997A.D.) on the lap of Swoyambhu, coined after Goddess Bijeshwori.
The Mahavidyalaya stands for academic excellence, a place of conducive environment which highly fosters overall academia. Our graduates too have been doing rather well by winning prestigious awards, scholarships, and obtaining noteworthy placements. These accomplishments of the Mahavidyalaya are indeed a testimonial to their worth and a matter of deep abiding pride to their Alma mater. The Mahavidyalaya, considering the saying ‘I walk slowly but I never walk back’ updated, modified and modernized pedagogical approaches and methods to suit contemporary national and global needs which ultimately has knocked the Mahavidyalaya to product her graduates in MBBS, Nursing, Cadet, Engineering, etc.
Besides academics, the Mahavidyalaya also equally displays her excellence in extra-curricular activities to develop all round development of an individual. The Mahavidyalaya is, therefore committed to maintain academic ethos in bringing out the potentialities of Nepalese girls to shoulder the process of nation building, to meet the nation’s requirements and to compete globally in diverse arenas.
